Planning for College

When it comes to paying for college, be proactive and plan ahead. That´s key.

Check off these essentials as you complete them.

	Complete the FAFSA early in the calendar year. It´s the only way to be eligible for the federal government´s loans, grants, and work-study programs.
	Fill out college or university loan and scholarship applications when you apply for admission. Most also require the FAFSA.
	Talk to your guidance counselor about local scholarships you may be eligible for.
	Check with all the organizations you belong to about scholarships.
