Setting Goals

What are your short-term goals for the next year? What are your long-term goals over the next five years? As you think about it, remember that your list is not a forever, lifetime commitment. Your goals are likely to change as your interests change over time.

Consider this: What did you want more than anything in the world when you were 7 years old? Do you still want it now? Which of the things that are very important to you today will still be important five years from now?

Once you set goals, you´ll want to make sure you're on track financially to reach them. You may want to set times to check in on your progress — like a birthday, the first of the year or once every three months. You can adjust your game plan if you need to make changes.
